Top 10 Trending YouTube Videos in the US — March 23, 2026

March 23, 2026, proves that K-pop's dominance on YouTube is far from over—BTS’s 'SWIM' alone racks up over 54 million views in three days, crushing everything else in its path. YouTube Trending surfaces videos gaining speed right now, not just overall views, making it a real-time pulse of what Americans are clicking on. The mix today is chaotic: a new Marvel game trailer, NCAA tournament replays (with zero likes, meaning nobody watched), and a Guilty Gear Strive reaction video that outranks half the list. The #10 slot belongs to a CG5 × Pomni fan song for The Amazing Digital Circus, pulling 1.2 million views and proving fandom-driven animation still owns niche corners. Data is pulled from YouTube’s official trending page for the US, updated daily, capturing the last 24 hours of viral momentum.

Valspar Championship, Final Round
Valspar Championship, Final Round leads the pack with zero views and zero likes—a data anomaly that exposes how YouTube's algorithm prioritizes placeholder content over genuine engagement. With no measurable watch time or reaction, this entry is 100% less effective at capturing viewer attention than the 83,837 likes on the Amazing Digital Circus song. It's a stark reminder that algorithmic promotion can disregard quality, making it slower than the average trending video in driving user interest.

Trend Analysis

Music and gaming dominate this top 10, with BTS (54 million views) and the CG5/Pomni fan animation (1.2 million) representing the two poles of YouTube’s audience—mainstream pop and hyper-specific fandom. The biggest surprise is the complete absence of news, politics, or creator drama; not a single commentary channel or daily vlogger made the cut. NCAA tournament replays at #3 and #6 sit dead with zero likes and views, which means YouTube’s algorithm still surfaces live sports broadcasts even when nobody watches—a quirk that inflates the list with placeholder entries. The gaming presence is heavy: a Marvel vs. Capcom-style trailer, two Guilty Gear items, and a Max Reacts video all land between #2 and #8, hinting at a fighting game resurgence in the US. If this trend holds, expect more game developer trailers to muscle past viral music videos in the coming weeks.
