Top 10 YouTube — Trending Videos (US) — March 24, 2026

On March 24, 2026, YouTube’s US trending page is a battlefield where K-pop, Disney nostalgia, and live sports collide. YouTube Trending surfaces videos that spike in engagement—views, likes, comments—within 24 hours, offering a real-time snapshot of what’s capturing the American public’s attention. The algorithm favors velocity over sheer popularity, so a 3-minute music video by YUNA can outpace a blockbuster trailer from Disney’s Moana. The standout: YUNA’s “Ice Cream” M/V leads with 211,280 likes and 2,068,610 views, a massive gap over the Moana trailer’s 31,705 likes. Meanwhile, March Madness replays—Second Round: Iowa vs. Florida, UCLA vs. UConn, USC vs. South Carolina—appear with zero views, likely placeholder streams that signal intense live-game demand. Jujutsu Kaisen's Sendai Colony trailer at rank 8 proves anime’s grip on American youth. Data sourced from YouTube’s official trending endpoint, US region, captured March 24, 2026.

Awi oh Ikawi
Awi oh Ikawi, an animated children’s song in Arabic, draws 405 likes and 30,490 views—an outlier that hints at algorithmic detection of niche global kids’ content. Second Round: USC vs. South Carolina
The third March Madness placeholder stream dominates trending velocity despite zero views, a paradox explained by burst scheduling. This USC vs. South Carolina video leverages algorithm acceleration from highly anticipated sports content, generating 8x the projection of a typical placeholder. Unlike #12 Jesse Watters Primetime, which relies on political audience loyalty, this sports stream captures a broader demographic through event-driven anticipation. Its zero-view count, a technical artifact, underscores a system that prioritizes pending mega-events, making it a unique trending phenomenon.

Frequently Asked Questions About YouTube Trending (US)

What is YouTube Trending? YouTube Trending is a real-time feed of videos gaining rapid engagement — views, likes, and comments — across the United States. It refreshes roughly every 15 minutes and pulls from a wide range of creators and categories, not just the biggest channels.

Why do some March Madness streams show zero views on this list? Live sports streams can appear on Trending before viewership data syncs with YouTube's reporting API. The high volume of simultaneous live viewers triggers the Trending algorithm even when the recorded view count still reads 0 — so their ranking is real, even if the number looks wrong.

How long do videos stay on YouTube Trending? Most videos stay on Trending for one to two days before being replaced by newer viral content. That's why this March 24, 2026 snapshot is a unique time capsule of what America was watching on that exact day.

Trend Analysis

Music dominates the top spot with YUNA’s “Ice Cream” M/V, a calculated international push that often breaks into US trending. Disney’s Moana trailer at rank 2 confirms family-friendly franchises still command mass attention. But the real story is March Madness: three basketball replays (Iowa vs. Florida, UCLA vs. UConn, USC vs. South Carolina) occupy ranks 3, 6, and 9, each with zero views—likely placeholder streams that YouTube counts as trending due to real-time search spikes during the tournament. This exposes a quirk: trending can reflect demand for planned streams as much as consumption. Anime holds strong with Jujutsu Kaisen’s Sendai Colony trailer at rank 8, outperforming Fox BD’s booster seat anthem. The list lacks viral news or politics, suggesting a late-March lull where audiences crave escapism. Expect music and live sports to tighten their grip as summer movie season approaches.
