The Odyssey

Christopher Nolan's epic adaptation, *The Odyssey*, brings Homer's foundational saga to IMAX film screens for the first time. The film premiered at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London on July 6, 2026, before its theatrical release by Universal Pictures on July 17, 2026, in the United States and the United Kingdom. With an estimated budget of US$250 million, it is among the most expensive films of Nolan's career and the first feature film to be shot entirely on IMAX's 70 mm film cameras. The film has received acclaim for its direction, performances, and set pieces, though some critics noted deviations from the source material. It stars Matt Damon as Odysseus and Anne Hathaway as Penelope, alongside Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, and Lupita Nyong'o.
