Patricio Albacete

Patricio Albacete is celebrated as Argentina's most-capped lock, having made 57 test appearances for Los Pumas between 2003 and 2014. His powerful presence in the scrum and consistent effectiveness in the lineout were key to Argentina's forward pack. Albacete was a vital contributor to the Pumas' achievements, including their first-ever Rugby Championship victory in 2014. Beyond his international career, he enjoyed a decorated club career in France with Toulouse, where he secured three Top 14 titles in 2008, 2011, and 2012, and lifted the Heineken Cup in 2010. Standing at 2.00m (6ft-7) and weighing 123kg (270lbs), Albacete possessed the ideal physical attributes for a second-rower, known for his ferocious tackling and ability to win turnovers. He retired from rugby in June 2018.
