Baldur's Gate 3

Baldur's Gate 3, developed by Larian Studios, redefined the CRPG genre and achieved widespread critical acclaim, sweeping major Game of the Year awards in 2023. The game sold over 10 million copies within six months of its full release, demonstrating a significant mainstream success for a complex role-playing game. After six years in development, including three years in early access, Baldur's Gate 3 launched in August 2023, offering unparalleled depth and player agency. Its intricate narrative, rich character development, and extensive choice-and-consequence system provide a highly replayable experience, though its complexity can be a barrier to entry for some new players.
