Rappi
Rappi built the superapp playbook for Latin America before the term was common anywhere else — founded in Bogota in 2015, it has grown to operate across roughly a dozen Latin American countries. SoftBank became a major investor in 2019 with a $1 billion round that valued the company at $3.5 billion, and a further funding round in 2021 pushed Rappi's valuation to $5.25 billion. The scale shows most clearly at home in Colombia, where Rappi remains the dominant player in a market it essentially defined.
