"Shape of You" — Ed Sheeran

Over 5 billion streams — the second song ever to reach that mark on Spotify. The song held the #1 spot as Spotify's most-streamed track for years until "Blinding Lights" dethroned it in 2023. Ed Sheeran wrote it during a session originally intended for Rihanna before deciding to keep it for himself. The marimba riff became the most recognized pop hook of the late 2010s.
