Unitree Robotics H1/H2

Unitree Robotics H1/H2 is among the fastest bipedal humanoids on the market, with running speeds that have set records for the category. With units in use across more than 100 academic institutions and thousands shipped, it has become a de facto standard for humanoid robotics research. The H1 stands roughly 180 cm and weighs around 47 kg, with strong torque density for its size. Pricing lands well below six-figure enterprise platforms like Fourier's GR-2 or Sanctuary's Phoenix. The H2 advances the line with a more expressive face, a substantially upgraded AI chip, and a growing library of apps, backed by a sizeable developer ecosystem. Unitree's cultural reach extended to a widely covered performance at China's CCTV Spring Festival Gala in 2025, and its robots have placed at recent World Humanoid Robot Games. Its primary limitation is deployment maturity: its strength is in research and performance, not deep industrial operations like Figure 02 or Atlas. However, for developers prioritizing affordable hardware, Unitree remains a default choice.
