Les Arcs

Les Arcs offers some of the most dramatic vertical descents in the French Alps, highlighted by the Aiguille Rouge, a 7 km black run that plunges 2,026 meters from a peak of 3,226 meters down to the village at 1,200 meters. This provides an intense and sustained challenge for advanced skiers. The resort is connected to La Plagne via the Vanoise Express, contributing to the expansive Paradiski area, which boasts a combined 425 km of pistes. Les Arcs itself provides 200 km of varied terrain, from gentle nursery slopes situated at 1,600 meters to challenging couloirs accessible via the Varet lift. While offering exceptional expert terrain, Les Arcs may have fewer dedicated family amenities compared to some neighboring resorts, making it more suited for those prioritizing high-adrenaline skiing.
