Louvre Abu Dhabi

Louvre Abu Dhabi's iconic 180-meter-wide dome creates a mesmerizing 'rain of light' effect, with sunlight filtering through nearly 8,000 interwoven metal stars across eight layers. This architectural marvel connects diverse galleries that bridge ancient Mesopotamian artifacts with French Impressionism. Opened in 2017, the museum features 6,400 square meters for permanent exhibitions and an additional 2,000 square meters for temporary displays. The museum's design, inspired by traditional Arab architecture, creates a unique micro-climate beneath its dome, offering a cool respite from the desert heat.
