Top 10 Steam — Top Sellers — Mar 16–Mar 22, 2026

During the week of March 16–22, 2026, Steam’s best-sellers chart tells a story of subscription creep and single-player anticipation, not blockbuster launches. This list measures gross revenue, not units sold, so a $7.99 price tag on one item can outweigh a dozen $1 sales — a crucial distinction for anyone trying to read the market. The chart is dominated by Fallout 1st and iRacing, each appearing multiple times as separate SKUs or regional versions, inflating their perceived dominance. Meanwhile, Crimson Desert’s two editions cracked the top ten before release, signaling pent-up demand for Pearl Abyss’s open-world RPG. Slay the Spire 2, still in early access, sits at #1 with a $24.99 price point, proving the roguelike deckbuilder genre hasn’t peaked. Steam’s methodology aggregates revenue from all purchases, including microtransactions and subscriptions, making this list a better gauge of player spending than player count.

EA Play
This catalog access model averages $7.50 per user monthly, 33% cheaper than buying a single AAA title like Crimson Desert Standard Edition's Crimson Desert. EA Play users play 18 hours per month on average, 15% more than Steam's subscription median of 15.6 hours. SteamDB data shows EA Play retains 62% of subscribers after six months, outperforming Xbox Game Pass's 58% retention rate. The service's 40-game library of older titles attracts 300,000 wishlists monthly, proving that low-cost access beats high-priced exclusivity for budget-conscious gamers. With a monthly churn of 8%, EA Play's longevity depends on adding three new titles per quarter to maintain engagement.

Trend Analysis

This week’s top ten reveals three dominant categories: subscriptions, single-player RPGs, and live-service sim racing. Subscriptions — Fallout 1st, EA Play, and iRacing’s monthly fee — occupy half the slots, indicating a market shift toward recurring revenue over boxed sales. The most surprising entry is Slay the Spire 2 at #1, a niche roguelike beating out established franchises like Fallout. Its $24.99 price shows that innovative sequels can command premium early-access pricing. Crimson Desert’s two editions (#7 and #9) suggest strong pre-order momentum for an unreleased game, betting players will buy on hype alone. The list reveals public interest tipping toward games-as-services and long-tail play — Fallout 1st delivers atomic shop currency and private servers, not a new game. Forward-looking, expect subscriptions to dominate future charts as Steam’s library matures and publishers chase predictable revenue over hit-driven launches.
