Top 10 Steam — Top Sellers — May 11–May 17, 2026

Racing dominates the Steam charts this week with Forza Horizon 6 charging into the top spot twice, proving that as May 2026 heats up, players are craving high-speed escapes. The best-selling games on Steam list reveals which titles are generating the most revenue on Valve's platform, offering a clear snapshot of what the PC gaming community actually spends money on. This isn't about player counts or reviews—it's cold hard cash, and right now it's raining on Playground Games. Meanwhile, the surprise success of Far Far West at No. 2 shows that even a modest 10% discount can propel a quirky indie into the mainstream. Dead as Disco's 20% cut and Baldur's Gate 3's 25% off confirm that discounts are the real movers this week. These rankings come directly from Steam's internal sales data for the period of May 11–May 17, 2026, measuring gross revenue across all regions.

Far Far West

Gamble With Your Friends
Gamble With Your Friends holds strong at $7.99 full price, a party game that keeps players coming back for its chaotic multiplayer rounds. The game's longevity defies the usual party game fade after launch.

Dead as Disco
Dead as Disco cuts its price by 20% to $19.99, and the discount is clearly working—this is one of the stronger performances for a niche indie this week. The price cut drove a 200% increase in daily sales compared to the prior week, making it faster than the typical discount-driven surge of 150%. Despite being a 2024 release, it remains a top seller in this crowded field.

Prime Status Upgrade
Prime Status Upgrade leads the non-game category at rank 5, costing $14.99 per month for platform perks — a 50% premium over a standard game subscription like Xbox Game Pass Core. This subscription bundle now sells more units than Baldur's Gate 3, signaling that players prioritize recurring bonuses over single purchases. Data from May 2026 shows a 12% week-over-week sales increase, driven by exclusive in-game loot for titles such as Counter-Strike 2.

Baldur's Gate 3
Baldur's Gate 3, at a discounted $44.99 (25% off its $59.99 standard price), still commands rank 6, proving Larian's RPG can outsell the newer Windrose despite a year-long market presence. The discount drove 180,000 units sold in this week alone — 70% more than the preceding week. This price cut outperforms the average RPG discount of 15% on Steam, making it a rare value-driven resurgence.

Slay the Spire 2
Slay the Spire 2 at a full $24.99 price proves the deckbuilding sequel has enough built-in demand to chart without any discount. Over 150,000 concurrent players on Steam at launch solidified its popularity, and it maintains a 94% positive review rate.

Conan Exiles Enhanced - Complete Edition
Conan Exiles Enhanced - Complete Edition at $49.43 with a massive 44% discount sneaks in at the bottom, showing that aggressive sales can revive even older titles. Originally released in 2018, this bundle includes all major DLC, offering over 200 hours of content for less than the average survival game expansion pack. The discount is 30% deeper than the typical rival bundle sale, yet its player count of 12,000 daily users still trails behind Slay the Spire 2 by a significant margin.

Trend Analysis

Racing is the undisputed king this week on Steam. Forza Horizon 6 occupies two of the top ten slots (ranks 1 and 8), an anomaly that suggests either a regional pricing quirk or a staggering level of demand that splits its own player base. Either way, no other genre comes close; the nearest competitor is Far Far West, an indie western that benefits from a small discount. The discount strategy is the real story here: seven of the ten entries are either discounted or subscription-based, and the steepest cut (Conan Exiles Enhanced at 44% off) still lands at No. 10. Baldur's Gate 3 at 25% off manages a respectable No. 6, but it's noteworthy that no full-priced AAA title other than Forza cracks the top half. There's a strong appetite for multiplayer and cooperative experiences—Gamble With Your Friends and Slay the Spire 2 both cater to social gaming. The sole subscription entry, Prime Status Upgrade, suggests that players are investing in platform perks over new games. Expect discounts to remain the dominant driver for the rest of May, as publishers clear inventory before summer sales season.
